Skin blemishes that we treat

Skin tags / Fibroepithelial polyps

These can be very small or very large and commonly appear in areas of friction or skin folds

Seborrhoeic keratosis

Waxy, scaly, or wart-like growths that look "stuck on" to the skin.

Common on the back, chest, head, neck, and shoulders.

Warts and Verrucas

Firm, rough lumps, sometimes with tiny black dots. Caused by HPV.

Common warts (hands/knees), Verrucas (soles of feet), Plane warts (flat, often on face), and Periungual warts (around nails).

Solar Lentigo / Sun spots

Common, harmless, flat, brown pigmented lesions caused by UV radiation from sun exposure or tanning beds.

Usually found on the face, shoulders, back of hands, and forearms.

Actinic keratosis

These lesions often feel like sandpaper before they are visible. They can be pink, red, or skin-colored, sometimes developing a thick, wart-like surface. It is considered precancerous, as 5–10% of cases can progress to squamous cell carcinoma.

Cherry Angiomas / Blood spots

These are harmless, small, bright red, or purplish skin growths composed of clusters of capillaries. Frequently appear on the torso, arms, and legs.

Milia

Milia are small, harmless, pearly-white or yellowish cysts that form just under the skin surface, commonly on the face, eyelids, and cheeks.

Spider Naevi / Spider angiomas

Spider naevi are harmless, dilated blood vessels visible just beneath the skin. They feature a central red dot with fine, web-like capillaries radiating outward.

Telangiectasia / facial thread veins

Telangiectasias are small, dilated blood vessels located near the surface of the skin. They often appear as fine, thread-like red, blue, or purple lines. Common areas they appear on the face are cheeks, nose and chin.

Sebaceous hyperplasia

Sebaceous hyperplasia is a very common, entirely harmless skin condition caused by the enlargement and overgrowth of the sebaceous (oil) glands. It causes small, soft, skin-coloured, white, or yellowish bumps to form, most frequently on the forehead, cheeks, and nose.

Xanthelasma

Xanthelasma are harmless, yellowish cholesterol plaques that form under the skin on or around your eyelids. They can be a warning sign of high blood cholesterol.

Actinic cheilitis

Actinic cheilitis is a precancerous condition of the lips caused by long-term sun exposure. It primarily affects the lower lip and appears as persistent dryness, scaly white patches, and a rough texture.

Syringoma

Syringoma are skin growth caused by the overgrowth of cells in the sweat glands (eccrine ducts). They typically present as clusters of small (1-3 mm) firm, skin-colored, or yellowish bumps, most commonly found on the lower eyelids, cheeks, neck, and chest.

Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra (DPN)

Dermatosis papulosa nigra (DPN) is a common, benign skin condition characterized by tiny, smooth or rough dark brown/black bumps, usually appearing on the cheeks, forehead, and neck.

Mole reduction

Typically appearing as small, round, or oval spots, moles can be flat or raised and range in colour from pink and flesh-toned to dark brown or black. While the vast majority of moles are completely harmless, any changes in their size, shape, or colour should always be evaluated by a healthcare professional.

Molluscum contagiosum

Molluscum contagiosum is a common viral skin infection that causes small, firm, dome-shaped bumps with a distinctive central dimple.

Granuloma annulare

Granuloma annulare is a harmless, non-contagious skin condition characterized by raised bumps that form a ring or circular pattern.

Porokeratosis

Porokeratosis is a skin condition which appears as raised brown bumps that may expand into scaly patches. They often have a rough raised border that may look like ringworm. The rashes are different because ringworm is caused by the fungus tinea coporis and is contagious unlike porokeratosis.

Ephelides/freckles

Ephelides/freckles

Ephelides/freckles

Ephelides are the medical term for common freckles. They are small, flat, light-brown or reddish macules (spots) that typically appear in early childhood on sun-exposed areas like the face, arms, and upper chest.
